Warren Thompson

Warren Thompson is a Florida native who has studied photography at Rochester Institute of Technology and Florida State University. He received his MFA degree from FSU. He is currently Professor of Visual Arts at Pensacola Junior College. In addition to teaching, Warren has been involved in numerous photo projects and exhibitions. His work has been published in Camera, Popular Photography, and Photographers Forum. In 2001, Warren was awarded first place worldwide for Faculty and Staff in PIEA (Photo Imaging Education Association). Warren participated in America 24/7 and Florida 24/7 with images includes in each book. A number of his prints were exhibited in A Shared Legacy: Documentary Photography of Florida from the 1930’s and Today which originated at the Crealde School of Art in Winter Park and has traveled for two years. From 2000-2003 Warren was appointed to the Endowed Chair for the Switzer Center for Visual Arts in Pensacola, Florida.
